Dave Robinson

Dave’s career in cable jointing began in 1978 when he worked as an EHT cable jointer with SEE Board Distribution. Here he covered all aspects of cable jointing, developing his skills using traditional methods. As well as the jointing of cables, Dave has also managed his own team and was responsible for determining new cable routes and plinth positions, installing and testing new switch gear and fusing and linking on the LV network for LV back feeds.

In 1995 Dave moved to Seeboard Contracting, where he worked as a multi-skilled technician. After 7 years of developing his skills in a variety of different areas, such as working on Railtrack projects, he became a supervisor in charge of approximately ten teams of cable jointers. As Dave’s knowledge and experience developed over the next 13 years, his responsibility grew; he became responsible for ensuring all policies and procedures, including health and safety, were maintained. Eventually, in 2011, it was time to move on.

In 2012 Dave joined D & R Jointing, where he became the Contracts Manager. He provides quotes for clients, manages the health and safety of the staff and company, and helps to run and develop the business.
